- 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 cups of peeled and sliced apples
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, then press into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
- In a separate bowl, combine sliced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar, then layer over the cheesecake mixture.
- In a bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and nuts (if using) to create the topping, then sprinkle over the apples.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a mix of different apple varieties.
- These bars can be served warm or chilled.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
