Description

Banana Split Fluff is a luscious, creamy dessert that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with the rich flavor of whipped cream and a hint of chocolate. Each spoonful offers a delightful texture, with fluffy marshmallows and crunchy nuts that create a symphony of flavors reminiscent of a classic banana split.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fruits:
    • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
    • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • Dairy:
    • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 1 cup sour cream
  • Sweeteners:
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Mix-ins:
    • 1 cup mini marshmallows
    • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
    • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes on medium speed.
  2. In another bowl, combine the sour cream, sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the sour cream mixture until well combined.
  4. Add the sliced bananas, crushed pineapple, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts to the mixture, folding carefully to avoid mashing the bananas.
  5. Drizzle in the chocolate syrup and gently mix until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the fluff to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • This dessert can be made a day in advance; just keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
