Description

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • Black food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Mix in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. While the brownies cool, prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream until just boiling, then pour it over the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  7. If desired, add black food coloring to the ganache for a darker appearance.
  8. Spread the ganache over the cooled brownies and let it set.
  9. Once set, cut the brownies into bat wing shapes using a template or a knife.
