Description
Deliciously soft and sweet glazed orange rolls filled with zesty orange marmalade and topped with a creamy glaze, perfect for brunch.

- 3 cups all-purpose flour (or as needed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant dry yeast (one 1/4-ounce packet—Red Star Platinum)
- Pinch salt (to taste)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs (lightly whisked)
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup orange marmalade
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (or orange extract)
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- Pinch salt (optional for balancing sweetness)
- 3 tablespoons milk or cream (as needed for consistency)
- 3 teaspoons orange zest (divided)
Instructions
- Make the Dough: In the bowl of your stand mixer, or a large mixing bowl if you’re mixing by hand, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Give it a good stir to incorporate.
- Melt your butter for approximately a minute, then add buttermilk and combine. Heat until warm (120 to 130°F), whisk until smooth.
- Pour the butter-buttermilk mixture into the dry ingredients. Add in the whisked eggs and knead the dough for about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Transfer it to an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
- Prepare a 9×13-inch pan by lining it with foil and spraying it with cooking spray.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle approximately 26-by-13 inches. Spread the softened butter across the dough.
- Drizzle around 3/4 cup of orange marmalade over the butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar.
- Slice the dough into rolls using unscented dental floss.
- Arrange the rolls in the prepared pan, cover with plastic wrap, and allow to rise for about an hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and bake for around 15 minutes until golden.
- Whisk together orange juice, vanilla, confectioners’ sugar, and optional salt for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over warm rolls and finish with a dusting of zest.
Notes
For best results, ensure your yeast is fresh and your dough is kept warm while rising.
