Ingredients
Scale
- For the Salmon Burgers:
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Avocado Crema:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
- In a food processor, pulse the salmon fillet until coarsely chopped.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, about 1 inch thick.
- Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and they are nicely charred.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the avocado crema by blending the avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt until smooth.
- Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the salmon burgers on toasted buns topped with avocado crema.
