Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup of frosting
  • White chocolate melts
  • Red food coloring
  • Chocolate chips
  • Green candy melts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions and bake.
  2. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl.
  3. Add frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the white chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
  7. Dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate and place back on the baking sheet.
  8. While the chocolate is still wet, place a chocolate chip in the center of each cake pop to create the eyeball.
  9. Use the green candy melts to create a ring around the chocolate chip.
  10. Mix red food coloring with a little melted white chocolate to create a blood effect and drizzle it over the cake pops.
  11. Let the cake pops set before serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, use dark chocolate cake mix.
  • Make sure to let the cake pops cool completely before dipping them in chocolate.
