This Bloody Mary Pasta Salad is a vibrant medley of flavors and textures, featuring al dente pasta enveloped in a creamy, tangy dressing reminiscent of the classic cocktail. Each bite bursts with the freshness of tomatoes, the crunch of celery, and a hint of spice, making it a refreshing dish perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Pasta: 8 oz rotini or fusilli pasta, cooked al dente and cooled
  • Vegetables:
    • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
    • 1 cup cucumber, diced
    • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
    • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • Dressing:
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 1/4 cup sour cream
    • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tsp celery salt
    • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Garnish:
    • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice, celery salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the cooled pasta, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, celery, and red onion to the bowl with the dressing. Toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.
  4. Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, stir in the chopped parsley and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • This salad can be made a day in advance; just keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream and mayonnaise.
