  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cream)
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl; gradually add to the creamed mixture until just mixed.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of batter onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly golden around the edges.
  7. Remove and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until stiff peaks form.
  9. Fill the cooled cookies with the vanilla cream.
  10. Melt the chopped chocolate and cocoa powder with the heavy cream over low heat until smooth.
  11. Drizzle or dip the filled cookies into the chocolate glaze.
  12. Let the cookies sit until the glaze has set.
