Description

Breakfast Pigs in Blanket are a delicious and easy-to-make morning treat, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of mini sausages (about 1216 sausages)
  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  3. If using, place a small amount of cheese at the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Place a mini sausage on top of the cheese (or directly on the dough if not using cheese).
  5. Roll the dough around the sausage, starting from the wide end and rolling to the point.
  6. Place the rolled pigs in a blanket on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the rolled sausages for a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, use spicy sausages.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese for added flavor.
