Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
  2. Add chicken thighs to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and add the marinated chicken, cooking until caramelised.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  6. Serve the chicken in the broth over a bed of rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
