Description

A refreshing summer dessert featuring a chilled tart filled with sweet peaches and fragrant lavender.


Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made tart shell
  • 4 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the tart shell in the oven and bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, and dried lavender. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves, then remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes.
  4. Strain the lavender cream into a bowl, discarding the lavender buds.
  5. Add vanilla extract and lemon juice to the cream mixture and stir well.
  6. Pour the cream mixture into the cooled tart shell and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  7. Once set, arrange the sliced peaches on top of the tart before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger lavender flavor, increase the amount of dried lavender.
  • Serve chilled for the best taste.
  • This tart can be made a day in advance.
