Description

A delightful and easy-to-make Chocolate Chip Swiss Roll filled with creamy goodness and topped with chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, then fold into the egg mixture.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cake springs back when touched.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before rolling it up in the parchment paper.
  7. While the cake cools, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  8. Unroll the cooled cake, spread the whipped cream evenly, and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  9. Roll the cake back up tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  10. Slice and enjoy your Chocolate Chip Swiss Roll!

Notes

  • Make sure to roll the cake while it’s still warm to prevent cracking.
