Ingredients

  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a mixing bowl. Let sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Mix in flour, melted butter, and salt until a dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Allow the dough to rise in a warm spot, covered with a towel, for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface, about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Spread the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from one long end to the other and slice into even rolls about 1.5 inches thick.
  7. Let the rolls rise again for another 30 minutes in a greased pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze and drizzle over warm focaccia after baking.
