Description

Indulge in the warm, gooey goodness of Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups, where soft bread is enveloped in a sweet cinnamon-sugar mixture and dipped in a rich egg custard. Each bite offers a delightful crunch on the outside, giving way to a fluffy, cinnamon-infused center that melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • Bread: 6 slices of white bread, crusts removed
  • Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Egg Mixture: 2 large eggs, 1/4 cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Butter: 2 tablespoons unsalted butter for frying
  • Optional Toppings: Cream cheese frosting, maple syrup, powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  2. Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin to make it pliable.
  3. Spread a thin layer of the cinnamon sugar mixture on each slice of bread.
  4. Roll each slice tightly from one end to the other, securing the filling inside.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
  7. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, ensuring all sides are coated, then place in the skillet seam-side down.
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
