- 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, milk, and poppy seeds.
- Spread the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter.
- Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the chicken mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding sautéed onions or garlic to the chicken mixture.
- This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
