Description

The Cookies & Cream Brownie Trifle is a decadent dessert that layers rich, fudgy brownies with velvety whipped cream and crushed cookies. Each spoonful offers a delightful contrast of textures, from the dense brownie to the light, airy cream, all infused with the sweet, chocolatey crunch of Oreo cookies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Brownies:
    • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
    • 2 cups granulated sugar
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Whipped Cream:
    • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cookies:
    • 1 1/2 cups Oreo cookies (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
  9. In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  10. In a trifle dish, layer brownie squares, whipped cream, and crushed Oreo cookies. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed cookies on top.
