Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
- In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- In a trifle dish, layer brownie squares, whipped cream, and crushed Oreo cookies. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed cookies on top.
