- 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped

- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the chopped cranberries and orange zest, folding gently into the dough.
- Prepare the wet mixture by whisking together the heavy cream and egg until smooth.
- Combine the wet ingredients gradually with the dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Form the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick on a floured surface.
- Cut the dough into wedges and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
- Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving warm.
Notes
You can prepare the dough a day in advance and store it in the fridge for fresh scones whenever you crave them.
