Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the chopped cranberries and orange zest, folding gently into the dough.
  5. Prepare the wet mixture by whisking together the heavy cream and egg until smooth.
  6. Combine the wet ingredients gradually with the dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Form the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick on a floured surface.
  8. Cut the dough into wedges and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  10. Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving warm.
