- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 8–10 corn or flour tortillas
- Oil for frying (if frying)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your air fryer.
- Mix the filling by combining chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave for about 10-15 seconds until pliable.
- Spoon 2 tablespoons of filling onto each tortilla and roll tightly, placing seam-side down on a lined baking sheet.
- Brush or spray taquitos with oil for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or cook in an air fryer until crispy.
- Serve with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa for dipping.
Notes
Make ahead by assembling the taquitos and storing in the refrigerator for up to a day before cooking. You can also freeze them before cooking for up to three months.
