    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

  • For the Breading:
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

    • 4 hamburger buns
    • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
    • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
    • 1 tomato, sliced
    • Pickles, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine buttermilk, fresh dill, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix flour, panko breadcrumbs, dried dill, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  5. Place the breaded chicken on the prepared baking sheet and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. While the chicken is baking, prepare the buns by spreading mayonnaise on each side.
  8. Once the chicken is done, assemble the sandwiches by placing the crispy chicken on the buns, topping with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Serve immediately.
