  • Cheesecake Layer:
    • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)

    • 1 cup heavy cream (whipped)
  • Chocolate Ganache:
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. While the brownies cool, prepare the cheesecake layer by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
  7. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the cooled brownie layer.
  8. For the ganache, heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until just simmering, then pour over chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  9. Pour the ganache over the cheesecake layer and spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  10. Slice and serve chilled, garnished with chocolate shavings if desired.
