Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar in a large mixing bowl until well incorporated.
  2. Gradually add the yogurt and water into the dry ingredients, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Dust your work surface with flour and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls, roughly the size of a golf ball.
  5. Roll each ball into a flat circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Heat your non-stick skillet over medium heat, adding olive oil to coat.
  7. Cook each flatbread for about 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and repeat.
  8. Serve the bread warm and enjoy with your favorite dips or dishes.

Notes

You can prepare the dough ahead and store it in the refrigerator for a day. Customize by adding herbs or cheese into the dough for extra flavor.
