- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- Green frosting
- Black icing
- Candy eyes
- Chocolate chips
- Mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with green frosting to create the monster’s face.
- Use black icing to draw hair, a mouth, and stitches on the cupcakes.
- Add candy eyes and chocolate chips for the eyes and bolts.
- Top with mini marshmallows for added decoration.
Notes
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, consider adding chocolate pudding mix to the batter.
- These cupcakes can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
