Description

French Dip Sliders are a delightful combination of tender, juicy beef nestled in soft, buttery rolls, topped with melted cheese and served with a rich, savory au jus. Each bite offers a satisfying crunch from the toasted bread, followed by the warm, flavorful beef that melts in your mouth, creating a perfect balance of textures and flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Sliders:
    • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
    • 8 slider rolls
    • 4 slices provolone cheese
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • For the Au Jus:
    • 2 cups beef broth
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and onion powder. Brush this mixture on the cut sides of the slider rolls.
  3. Place the slider rolls on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. In a saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat until simmering.
  5. Layer the sliced roast beef on the bottom half of the toasted slider rolls, then top with provolone cheese.
  6. Cover with the top half of the rolls and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve the sliders warm with a small bowl of au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Make-ahead: You can prepare the au jus a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Reheat before serving.
  • Storage: Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Substitutions: Use Swiss cheese instead of provolone for a different flavor, or substitute turkey for a lighter option.
