- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Topping:
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the minced garlic in a little olive oil until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed spinach and garlic with cream cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
- Stuff each mushroom cap generously with the spinach mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture over the stuffed mushrooms.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
