Description

Gingerbread Trifle is a delightful holiday dessert that layers spiced gingerbread cake with creamy layers of pudding and whipped topping, creating a festive and delicious treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 package gingerbread cake mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup crushed gingerbread cookies
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the gingerbread cake according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until thickened.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping and spices until well combined.
  4. Cut the cooled gingerbread cake into cubes.
  5. In a trifle dish, layer half of the gingerbread cubes, followed by half of the pudding mixture.
  6. Sprinkle half of the crushed gingerbread cookies on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining gingerbread cubes, pudding mixture, and crushed cookies.
  8. Drizzle caramel sauce on top if desired.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
