  • Author: mohamedcherifsfaitri@gmail.com
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Golden Caramelized Pear & Burrata Towers are a delightful combination of sweet, juicy pears and creamy burrata cheese, creating a luxurious texture that melts in your mouth. The rich, buttery flavor of the caramelized pears perfectly complements the mild, milky taste of the burrata, making each bite a heavenly experience.

Ingredients

  • Pears: 2 ripe Bartlett pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • Butter: 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Brown Sugar: 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • Balsamic Vinegar: 1 tablespoon
  • Burrata Cheese: 8 ounces, at room temperature
  • Fresh Basil: 1/4 cup, chopped for garnish
  • Salt: a pinch, to taste
  • Black Pepper: a pinch, freshly cracked, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to foam.
  2. Add the sliced pears to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to soften.
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the pears and continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the sugar has dissolved and the pears are golden brown and caramelized.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the pears and stir to combine, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until the vinegar has reduced slightly.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and let the pears cool slightly.
  6. To assemble, place a layer of caramelized pears on a serving plate, top with a generous scoop of burrata, and repeat to create towers.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil, and season with salt and black pepper before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can be made ahead of time; store the caramelized pears in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, warm the pears gently in a skillet over low heat before assembling.
  • For a vegan option, substitute burrata with a plant-based cheese alternative.
  • Use any variety of pears you prefer, such as Anjou or Bosc, for different flavor profiles.
