- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- For the Mango Avocado Slaw:

- 1 ripe avocado, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For Serving:
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- Fresh cilantro leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
- In a bowl, finely chop the salmon fillet and combine it with breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, about 1 inch thick.
- Grill the salmon patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- While the burgers are grilling, prepare the mango avocado slaw by combining cabbage, mango, avocado, red onion, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Toss gently to combine.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a salmon patty on each bun and topping with a generous scoop of mango avocado slaw.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
