Description

Deliciously marinated and grilled tofu skewers filled with the vibrant flavors of za’atar spices, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons za’atar spice blend
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers (soaked in water)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu by wrapping it in a towel and placing a weight on it for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. Mix za’atar, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Marinate the tofu cubes in the marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Thread the marinated tofu pieces onto soaked skewers.
  7. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
  8. Serve warm, drizzled with leftover marinade.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes before grilling to avoid burning. Marinating the tofu longer enhances flavors.
