Delightful homemade sourdough Runzas filled with savory beef, cabbage, and cheese, wrapped in a tangy crust, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 2 cups Sourdough Bread
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 cup Cabbage, shredded
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 cup Cheese, shredded (Cheddar or your choice)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned.
- Add chopped onions and shredded cabbage; cook until softened, about 5–7 minutes.
- Roll out the sourdough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick, and cut into 6–8 rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on each rectangle and top with cheese.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
These Runzas can be prepared in advance and frozen. Use air fryer for a quicker cooking method.
