Ingredients
Scale
- For the Dough:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- For the Toppings:
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a piece of parchment paper. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the surface.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, followed by the sliced pepperoni.
- Carefully slide the pizza (with parchment) onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle hot honey over the top. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot!
