- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- For the Hot Honey Ranch Sauce:
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1–2 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat (about 350°F).
- Coat each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Fry the chicken tenders in batches for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
- While the chicken is frying, whisk together ranch dressing, honey, and hot sauce in a bowl until well combined.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Toss the hot chicken tenders in the hot honey ranch sauce before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be made ahead by frying the chicken and storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes to maintain crispiness.
- For a healthier option, you can bake the chicken tenders at 400°F for 20-25 minutes instead of frying.
