Ingredients

  • Cabbage: 1 large head of green cabbage
  • Shrimp: 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Sausage: 1 pound Cajun sausage, sliced
  • Vegetables: 1 cup diced bell peppers, 1 cup diced onions, 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Spices: 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, salt and pepper to taste
  • Liquid: 1 cup chicken broth, 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and blanch the cabbage leaves for 2-3 minutes until pliable. Remove and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic, sautéing until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced sausage and shrimp to the skillet, cooking until the shrimp turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
  6. Place a generous scoop of the shrimp and sausage mixture onto each cabbage leaf, rolling tightly and tucking in the sides.
