- 1 block firm tofu, pressed and drained
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, and sesame oil. Toss the tofu cubes in the mixture.
- Coat the marinated tofu in cornstarch until evenly covered.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the tofu until golden and crispy on all sides.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
- Assemble the tacos by placing crispy tofu on the tortillas, then topping with shredded cabbage, green onions, and cilantro.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the tofu for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Feel free to add other toppings like avocado or spicy mayo.
- These tacos can be made vegan by ensuring all ingredients are plant-based.
