Description

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and drained
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, and sesame oil. Toss the tofu cubes in the mixture.
  4. Coat the marinated tofu in cornstarch until evenly covered.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the tofu until golden and crispy on all sides.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing crispy tofu on the tortillas, then topping with shredded cabbage, green onions, and cilantro.
  8. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the tofu for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Feel free to add other toppings like avocado or spicy mayo.
