Ingredients
Scale
- For the Chicken:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Bacon:
- 6 slices of thick-cut bacon
- For the Sliders:
- 12 slider buns
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Fresh arugula or spinach for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
- In a bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add the marinated chicken thighs and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing into smaller pieces to fit the slider buns.
- Toast the slider buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the sliders by spreading mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each bun, adding a piece of chicken, a slice of bacon, a sprinkle of cheddar cheese, and a handful of arugula.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
Notes
- Make-ahead: You can marinate the chicken up to 24 hours in advance for deeper flavor.
- Storage: Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Substitutions: Use turkey bacon for a leaner option or swap chicken thighs for chicken breasts if preferred.
