Description

These Maple Chicken Bacon Sliders are a delightful combination of juicy chicken, crispy bacon, and a sweet maple glaze that tantalizes the taste buds. The soft, buttery slider buns provide the perfect texture contrast, making each bite a heavenly experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Chicken:
    • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
    • 1/4 cup maple syrup
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Bacon:
    • 6 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • For the Sliders:
    • 12 slider buns
    • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • Fresh arugula or spinach for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. In the same skillet, add the marinated chicken thighs and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  5. Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing into smaller pieces to fit the slider buns.
  6. Toast the slider buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
  7. Assemble the sliders by spreading mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each bun, adding a piece of chicken, a slice of bacon, a sprinkle of cheddar cheese, and a handful of arugula.
  8. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make-ahead: You can marinate the chicken up to 24 hours in advance for deeper flavor.
  • Storage: Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Substitutions: Use turkey bacon for a leaner option or swap chicken thighs for chicken breasts if preferred.
