  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Bring it Together: Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until the dough begins to come together.
  3. Knead Away: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for approximately 10 minutes.
  4. First Rise: Place the dough into a greased bowl, covering it with a clean cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  5. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Simmer the Sauce: In a saucepan, heat the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
  7. Form the Crust: Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently and transfer it to your greased baking pan.
  8. Add the Sauce: Spread the tomato sauce over the dough.
  9. Cheese It Up: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella generously over the sauced pizza.
  10. Bake to Perfection: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  11. Cool and Serve: Allow the pizza to cool slightly, then garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve.

Notes

Make the dough a day in advance for more flavor. You can use air fryer if needed.
