Description

A delightful appetizer featuring fresh peaches on toasted bread, drizzled with a sweet and tangy strawberry-balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, diced
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey. Cook over medium heat until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
  3. While the glaze is cooking, arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix diced peaches with chopped basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Once the glaze is ready, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. Top each toasted baguette slice with the peach mixture and drizzle with the strawberry-balsamic glaze.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup.
