- 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches and 1/2 cup of sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Top the batter with the peach mixture, including the juices.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- Can substitute fresh peaches with canned peaches if necessary.
- Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the peaches.
