Description

Indulge in the rich, creamy texture of Peppermint Oreo Truffles, where the crunch of crushed Oreos meets the smoothness of cream cheese and chocolate. Each bite delivers a delightful burst of peppermint flavor, perfectly balanced with the sweetness of chocolate, making them an irresistible treat for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and softened cream cheese until well blended.
  2. Add the peppermint extract and mix until fully incorporated.
  3. Using your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. While the truffles are chilling, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated, and return them to the baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top of the chocolate-coated truffles before the chocolate sets.
  8. Refrigerate the truffles for an additional 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
