- 2 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sandwich rolls
- Coleslaw (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large Dutch oven, heat some oil over medium heat and brown the beef chuck roast on all sides.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
- Pour in the beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and transfer to the oven, cooking for about 3-4 hours until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
- Remove the beef from the pot and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded beef to the pot and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve the pulled beef on sandwich rolls, topped with coleslaw if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef overnight with spices.
- Feel free to adjust the barbecue sauce to your taste.
- This recipe can be made in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours.
