Description

A delicious pastry filled with creamy pumpkin and cream cheese, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
  4. Cut the pastry into squares and place a spoonful of the pumpkin cream cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal them.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the filling.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
