Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into skull-shaped cake molds.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool before removing from molds.
  10. Decorate with cream cheese frosting to create spooky skull faces.
