Description

A deliciously moist and flavorful cake that combines the rich taste of pumpkin with a creamy swirl, perfect for fall gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup of canned pumpkin
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, canned pumpkin, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the chocolate cake batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the batter, then pour the remaining chocolate batter on top.
  6. Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the chocolate batter.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cake mix.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • This cake can be served warm or cold.
