Description

Deliciously rich and decadent red velvet cheesecake brownies that combine the flavors of red velvet cake and creamy cheesecake.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Stir in the red food coloring until the batter is evenly colored.
  7. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar and egg, mixing until well combined.
  8. Pour half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the red velvet batter, then pour the remaining red velvet batter on top.
  10. Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the red velvet batter for a marbled effect.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  12. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
