Description

Delicious and festive cupcakes decorated to resemble Santa hats, perfect for holiday parties.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of whipped cream
  • 12 strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of white frosting
  • Red food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions using eggs, water, and oil.
  3. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let the cupcakes cool completely.
  6. Frost the top of each cupcake with white frosting.
  7. Place a strawberry upside down on top of the frosting to create the Santa hat shape.
  8. Pipe a small dollop of whipped cream on top of the strawberry to complete the hat.
  9. Optionally, sprinkle with red food coloring for extra festive flair.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding chocolate chips to the batter.
  • Make sure the cupcakes are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
  • These cupcakes can be made a day in advance; just add the strawberries and whipped cream on the day of serving.
