Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Southern shrimp boil prepared in a slow cooker, perfect for gatherings and family meals.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound of baby potatoes, halved
  • 4 ears of corn, cut into thirds
  • 1/4 cup of Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the baby potatoes in the slow cooker and add the chicken broth.
  2. Sprinkle the Old Bay seasoning over the potatoes.
  3. Add the corn and garlic, followed by the shrimp on top.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and add the lemon slices.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir gently before serving to combine all ingredients.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with crusty bread for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
