- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/4 cup springtime-colored sprinkles
- One tub store-bought whipped cream cheese frosting, OR:
- 6 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons springtime-colored sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Combine the vanilla sugar cookie mix, softened butter, and egg in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Fold in the springtime-colored sprinkles gently.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden at the edges and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan.
- Combine softened cream cheese and butter in a separate bowl and beat with an electric mixer until creamy.
- Add confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled bars.
- Sprinkle extra springtime-colored sprinkles on top.
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
Notes
These bars can be made a day in advance and store well at room temperature. Customize with additional flavors like lemon zest or chocolate chips.
