Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked steak, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the onions and bell peppers until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Warm one tortilla in a separate pan for about a minute on each side.
  4. Layer half of the cheese on one half of the warmed tortilla, then add sliced steak, sautéed vegetables, and top with the remaining cheese.
  5. Top with another tortilla and gently press down.
  6. Cook in the skillet until the bottom turns golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Flip the quesadilla and cook the other side until golden and cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Slice into wedges and serve while hot.

Notes

Experiment with different ingredients for customization, and try serving with guacamole, salsa, or sour cream.
