Description

A refreshing and sweet beverage perfect for summer, combining the flavors of strawberries and tea.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. While the tea is steeping, prepare the strawberries by hulling and slicing them.
  4. After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  5. Add the sliced strawberries to the tea and let it cool to room temperature.
  6. Once cooled, refrigerate the tea for at least 1 hour.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a stronger strawberry flavor, blend some of the strawberries into a puree before adding them to the tea.
  • This tea can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your preference.
