Description

Delicious Asian turkey meatballs infused with garlic, ginger, and teriyaki sauce, perfect as an appetizer or main course.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Use your hands to gently mix everything.
  2. Preheat the skillet: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil to coat the bottom.
  3. Shape the meatballs: Shape your turkey mixture into meatballs about the size of golf balls.
  4. Cook undisturbed: Carefully place the meatballs in the skillet, allowing them to cook for approximately 4-5 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  5. Flip and brown: Using tongs or a spatula, gently turn the meatballs to cook for an additional few minutes until browned on all sides.
  6. Simmer in sauce: Pour the teriyaki sauce over the meatballs and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm: Transfer your meatballs to a serving platter and enjoy them warm.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the mixture or serve with a spicy dipping sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
