  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 package pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until it releases a succulent aroma.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle in the curry powder and cumin, stirring for about two minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the frozen peas and carrots, then the heavy cream, and season with salt and pepper. Stir until slightly thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Roll out your pie crust and place it into a prepared pie dish. Fill it with the beef mixture.
  7. Cover with the top crust, sealing the edges. Cut slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
  8. Brush the top crust with egg wash.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing.
